It's been a couple weeks since I posted an update on our house. Since then, a lot has happened, even through the outside looks much the same. A couple weeks ago we had an electrical walk through to decide where all our light switches and recessed canned lights would be, where we wanted our speakers for the whole-house audio and where the pre-wiring for our media room would go. They pulled all the wiring for the electrical based on our input, got the plumbing started, got the HVAC system all in place, and the insulation is in our walls. Yesterday we met with the builders to review drawings of the cabinetry throughout the house (we are so excited that Joe Bradley will be doing our cabinetry!) and today the siding is starting to go up, with drywall starting next week. Next week we have a meeting at Builders Lighting to complete our lighting selections, and soon we will finalize our plumbing fixture selections.
I am super excited about the kitchen faucet we selected. I know, that kind of makes me sound geeky, but this thing is pretty awesome. I had originally asked for one of those "touch" faucets, but after a suggestion from our builders we decided to go with the Moen Arbor Motion Sense. I can't wait.
