Best Hikes in Boise: Highland/Cobb Loop

Jen bought a book with some of the best hikes in and near Boise, and we have been anxious to start trying them all out.  We did our first hike on Saturday - the Highland/Cobb Loop.  It originates off of Warm Springs Rd. near Lucky Peak and is 5.7 miles with an elevation gain of close to 1500 feet.

Saturday morning was beautiful for hiking!  It got to be quite warm that day, but we went at 9:00 am, so it was still early enough, and occasionally the sun went behind the clouds and we got a slight breeze.  It really felt great to be out enjoying nature.  The only bummer part was Matt and I had to run the last mile or mile and a half so that we could pick up our Bountiful Basket.  Next time we'll plan a little better :-)
